Mahdy Yusofi received his PhD in Education and Philosophy of Education from the University of Kharazmi, Iran in 016. He had earlier obtained a Master ‘s in Education and Philosophy of Education from the University of Tarbiat Modarres in 2011.
Dr. Yusofi is a visiting professor at the Islamic Azad University of Qom, Iran. He specializes in educational, social, and media studies. The teacher-student relationship is one of his main areas of research, with works, lectures, and workshops on the subject in Iran and in 14 countries, including China, Kenya, Uganda, Cambodia, Turkey, and Lebanon. He has adopted a methodology that engages with ethnographic studies, using Educational Ethnography to investigate teacher-student relationships.
In his research, Mahdy has visited schools and universities, talked to teachers and students about their difficulties, and lived with the local population to connect with their realities. The results have been published in scientific journals, as well as in various types of media. He is also a journalist, writer, and media consultant.
