Erik Post joined FOGGS in November 2019 as Junior Policy and Advocacy Advisor. Erik supported the Foundation’s advocacy efforts, assisted in the management and execution of FOGGS initiatives, and conducted policy research in Global Governance, Global Sustainability, and Global Citizenship, as well as in International and European Affairs. He identified fundraising opportunities and elaborated fundraising strategies.
Erik is an international development and cooperation researcher and professional with experience in sustainable development, extractive industries, environmental justice, international relations, European affairs, as well as interventions across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. He has conducted both desk and field research on conflict dynamics in sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.
Prior to joining FOGGS, he was a Blue Book trainee to senior management of the European Commission Directorate General for international Cooperation and Development, strategic political and communication advisor to a candidate for the European Parliament, and a research assistant at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva).
Erik holds a BA from Leiden University College and a MA from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
