Pyrros Papadimitriou is a lawyer and economist, and one of the founders of FOGGS. He holds a Degree in Political Science & Public Administration from the University of Athens (1985) a Law Degree from Athens Law School (1989), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Economics from Sussex University (1987), a Master’s in Economics (1988) and a Ph.D. in Economics (1992) both from Kent University at UK. In the past he worked in managerial and advisory positions in the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research in Athens (1994-95), in ALPHA Bank (1995-96), in the European Parliament (1996-98) and in HEADWAY Economic Consultants Ltd (2000-07).

In 1997 Pyrros founded HEADWAY Economic Consultants Ltd, a company that provides consulting services in the public and the private sector. In 2006 as a co-founder, he established a network of experts, the Four Assist Development Consulting, which mainly undertakes projects in the field of Public Financial Management and in Economic Development in developing countries. In Four Assist Development Consulting, Pyrros remained active until the end of December 2015. In the period 2007 – 09, Pyrros ran the privatization project of Greece’s flag carrier Olympic Airlines, Olympic Airways – Services and Olympic Aviation.

In the period August 2012 – June 2014 he has been appointed Coordinator of the Privatization of the Greek Regional Airports a project that has also been concluded successfully. 

At present, Pyrros is associate professor in international economics at the University of Peloponnese in Greece and independent consultant mainly associated with Canary Wharf Consulting Ltd providing consulting services in privatization and restructuring projects.
