Cologne
Péter came to FOGGS after holding senior management engagements with European-based associations. Péter was responsible for developing business opportunities and relationships with the aim to drive revenue. To this end, Peter developed communication and event strategies which fostered community engagement and partnership development. This, together with utilising his expertise and academic background, MSc (International Event Management) and BSc (Honours) Social Psychology, Péter raised the profiles of those associations.
Prior to this, Péter spent close to 20 years working at the United Nations in supporting its efforts in combatting climate change at the UNFCCC. During his tenure at the climate change secretariat, Peter worked in several departments of the organisation and thus developed a deep and broad understanding of intergovernmental processes, climate change and sustainable solutions.
Péter played a key role in planning and management of the Paris Agreement negotiations, where he worked in the strategic implementation unit, closely with government representatives and decision makers in the coordination of the delivery of the agreement. Péter later worked in developing engagement and outreach opportunities with the climate change community. Péter also developed administration directives on organizational development issues serving on various committees and boards whilst at the climate change secretariat.
Péter worked for a European royal family where he was responsible for administering protocol duties and human resource management of the house.
Péter speaks English, German and Hungarian, and has a basic knowledge of Italian and Spanish.
